Buddha declared, "In the future, whoever reads my sutras, whoever hears my teachings, will meet me. Even if I were to meet them face to face, I would have nothing more to say than these teachings, these sutras." Therefore, we should understand that when we have the opportunity to meet the sutras—to read, hear, understand, and practice them—we have the fortune of seeing the Buddha.
